SketchUp Foundations |
|
SketchUp is a free drawing and design program, from Google, which can help you create your own furniture, cabinetry, and just about anything else you can think of. It can help you work out design problems; create beautiful renderings which you can show to clients or family; and even help you figure out how to build things back in your workshop In this 1/2 day course, you'll gain a working knowledge of SketchUp; You'll learn how to become more efficient at drawing and designing by using shortcuts in conjunction with standard drawing techniques; You'll use and completely understand "Groups" and "Components", and how they can radically speed up your drawing; And you'll learn how to work with SketchUp's Inference system, to make quick 3-D drawings. Best of all, you leave our class being able to draw basic woodworking projects in a way that will help you work out material cut lists, aid in design, and even avoid construction problems before they occur. We strongly recommend that students bring a laptop, loaded with the latest version of Google SketchUp, and a mouse, in order to get the most from this class. GPD's very own Scott Meek will be the instructor for this class |
